Plastic Force and the environment

Around 80 million tonnes of plastic packaging is produced each year, and this is expected to triple by 2050.
Most of it has a very short use, with 95% lost to the economy. Between 8 and 12 million tonnes ends up in the oceans and can remain there for centuries, harming wildlife and potentially entering the human food chain.

The environmental advantages of using rPET:
rPET is second life of PET bottles used worldwide for beverages and water.
rPET has lower carbon footprint than virgin PET.
Use of rPET saves raw materials, reduces waste and creates a better environment.
For every tone of rPET produced 1.5 tons of CO2 is saved.
As substitution, it is 85% lighter than glass which helps lowering transport costs and CO2 emission.
